By interfacing the load with completely independent frame and suspension, the load is truly suspended - providing more comfort, longevity and efficiency in the field.
The Frame.
The heart and soul of the EMR/MMRs is the frame. Deceptively lightweight, this workhorse uses state-of-the-art materials and a lifetime of experience in its engineering. It can handle just about any weight you throw at it, and is able to fit any man. More comfort means more strength for the duration.
The Framesheet consists of two primary elements:
1. Twin contoured aluminum stays provide support for the heaviest of loads without distortion. These are aircraft grade, and are removable so that you can bend them to the shape of YOUR back, or use 'em for an emergency splint.
2. High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE) spreads weight efficiently over your entire back, and provides the mounting surface for the suspension.
The Suspension.
Like a car, the weight of the "vehicle" is suspended on the frame. It is not loaded directly onto the frame - this would cause stress points and discomfort. With our suspension, you get shock absorption that greatly alleviates bone jarring pain, and you get the ability to distribute that weight wherever you desire over the frame.
