We are a group of seven guys who live in Reykjavik and go kayaking in the western fjords of Iceland for a week every year.  We have been doing this since 2001 (continued below).

   
     
   

In the more remote areas there are no roads, mobile phones, FM radio or even VHF so we are pretty isolated.  We bring shotguns and nets, we can fish and hunt birds and there is driftwood to keep us warm.  The Kifaru tent has made a big difference because we have a gathering place where we can eat together and dry our clothes even when the weather becomes a miserable drizzle or windy as it often does in Iceland.  This is latitude 66 North after all.

The tent is a home away from home and it is small enough to fit in the forward compartment of one of the boats.
