Late Season G2 features multiple enhancements: taller frame stays for better lift function, new loops for attaching military Dock & Lock pockets and Pods, the popular Power Pull feature on the waistbelt, and much more.

The Late Season is designed for very robust day-tripping and overnighting with appropriate compact gear. It is not just larger than our SpikeCamp, it is also designed to COMFORTABLY carry considerably more weight. The waistbelt/shoulder strap/ torso pad network is as sophisticated as the same components on our LongHunter, just more compact and lighter.

The Late Season will carry about 70% of a LongHunter load weight with the same comfort level. Like the SpikeCamp, this pack functions as a take-on with the airlines, and therefore has a ticket pocket much like the lovable Spike. It has tabs for over-the-top lashing of capes, etc. It also features a bottom zipper to complement the top zipper--access to anything in the pack is outstanding. Why the name, LateSeason? Well, we need more "stuff" when autumn presses winter. Right?

Remove the DoubleQuiet Panels and GunBearer, and you have a versatile pack to take skiing, hiking or traveling. Add the optional CargoChair for even more freight hauling capacity.

		Utterly silent Double Quiet polar fleece panels cover your pack in critical areas. They quickly remove, and are reversible, letting you change from the latest camoflage patterns to blaze orange. Remove the panel entirely, and you have a classy hunter-green pack for skiing, backpacking or travel. Standard on all Kifaru packs and many accessories.

 

These belts are amazingly comfortable due to a focus on anatomically sewn nylon that it doesn't crush your hipbones. We have worked to craft a belt that is very, very comfortable but very low profile.
Take a close look: you'll notice it's not just a span of Cordura. Instead, numerous darts and seams are designed to drape the belt around you in a fashion that carries lots of weight without pain, and stays put too.

			The Power PullTM   Our exclusive Power Pull lets you bring the pack weight into your lumbar area with a forward pull - this mechanical advantage is much easier and more efficient than a rearward pull.

The Delta Strap System (patented). Utilizing a triangular pull, the System's four angled straps (from the waistbelt to pack bag) help take weight off your shoulders, and bring the load into your center of gravity - your lumbar area. Simply pull on the two straps - you'll immediately feel the whole bottom portion of the pack snug up into your lower back. This puts tension along the top and bottom of the belt, not through the center, in order to distribute pressure evenly over the belt and keep pressure off the hipbones. The Deltas also dramatically stabilize the load.
