The Checkpoint is a panel loader that is at home in airports, on your commute or hiking a day’s gear up into the hills. Its full zip panel design opens to a 420d packcloth lined interior with two mesh pockets on the inside of the flap for easy access to essentials. A suspended stretchy laptop pocket will keep your laptop from hitting the ground and close to your back. Access the laptop pocket through a dual zippered opening at the top of the bag which also doubles as the hose / charging port. The front of the bag has a small organizer pocket at the top with a key hook. The front main pocket is accessed through dual zippers with lock outs on either side so you can access the pocket on the move. The back features thick spacer mesh and an EDC belt pass through (sold separately) with thick sewn in shoulder straps. The Sternum strap can be moved up and down the webbing tracks or taken off completely.
There are two sets of webbing tabs on the outer back seam that will work with Sherman pockets or Grab-its. Two full length stays of your choice (composite or aluminum) ride on a 1/16″ HDPE framesheet for added stability. As always, our Chamber pocket rides shotgun near the top access zipper for small items. You will find a tab for securing bladders at the top of the back panel. The three Xpac versions are paired with 1000d Black cordura and have xpac accent panels of X50 Multicam Black, X10 Cotton duck Eclipse Grey or X10 Cotton duck Olive. The 500d versions are Coyote Brown and Multicam. All Checkpoints are lined with 420d Packcloth.

We sew our products in batches and therefore may not have all colors in stock at one time. We sew and assemble shoulder straps and waistbelts on each pack to fit the measurements provided by you, our valued customers, to ensure consistent high quality. Thus, nothing usually ships immediately, but is well worth the wait.
We’re proud to provide extremely durable, lightweight products that are 100% American made. This gear will outperform and outlast anything made offshore – period. It is built specifically for serious users with the best-in-the-world materials. It is costly gear – our customers quickly acknowledge that the benefit-to-cost ratio of their Kifaru gear is quite high and is well worth the investment.
During our move, production and shipping will be halted for a short period while we move and organize in our new building, located in Riverton, Wyoming. If you have any early hunts this season, please get your orders in before May 1st.

I have been using the Checkpoint for several month as a do everything bag. I mostly travel with it as a carry on or carry it with gear to and from work. Like just about everything from Kifaru, it works excellent. I can typically fit 4 days of clothes, a spare pair of boots or shoes, my supplement containers, and my electronics in the bag with room to spare. Keep making kick ass gear Kifaru!

Almost a perfect bag. Grab handle ripped the cotton x-pac fabric where is box stitched. There is no reinforcement here and the x-pac fabric is weak. Same goes with Antero, I’ve owned 3 and holes keep getting bigger where the webbing grab handle is stitched on the single layer of 500d fabric. All the stress of the weight of the bag is transferred to a couple double stitches with no reinforcement on underside resulting in small holes that get larger overtime, the x-pac cotton will just rip.

This pack is built really good I’m using this as a carryon and travel bag for storms. I’m a IBEW lineman and travel for work and travel to ice, hurricane, and windstorms for power outages I pack my regular bag with 10 days worth of clothes and just pack 2 days and a hoodie with all my chargers and dip in my checkpoint and just change the clothes for new ones every two to three days. So I can leave my big bag in the bucket truck works amazing if I had more time I would probably give it 5 stars but for now it gets 4

I have to say I think Kifaru hit a home run with this bag, I have owned many of their other bags and used them for EDC. The quality is amazing on all the bags, but there was always some feature I found that was just a little off for what I wanted out of the bag. This bag has it all and in a very clean package. The shoulder straps are amazing and super comfortable probably one of the first things I noticed when I put it on, it carries really nice. It perfectly fits my medium peak design camera cube and still has some room on top to pack my food for the day. I see this pack going many places with me and being the perfect travel bag for airline travel.
