Great Jacket let's compare to the North Park Parka.

I’m a longtime Kifaru customer—I’ve been buying their gear since they were in Colorado and continue to support them now in Riverton, WY. Over the years I’ve accumulated quite a bit of their gear, including the Lost Park Parka and pants, Slick 0° and 20° bags, a Doobie, and the Body Bag.

One of the biggest reasons I keep coming back to Kifaru is their commitment to quality and American manufacturing.

The Pointe Synthetic Jacket is, to my understanding, made overseas (Vietnam), which is not a deal breaker for me. I own plenty of high-end hunting gear made outside the U.S., and what matters most is performance—and this jacket delivers.

The jacket is lightweight, well-built, and thoughtfully designed. Compared to the Lost Park Parka, it’s not as warm—but that’s not its role. It still provides excellent warmth for its weight and is much better suited for active use.

I really like the pocket layout and the feel of the material. It’s not as compressible as down, but it still packs well enough to justify carrying it in a hunting pack.

The pit zips are a standout feature—well positioned, easy to access, and actually usable on the move. That’s a big advantage over many other jackets.

Overall, it’s significantly more packable than the Lost Park Parka, though lighter and less warm—which is exactly what I was looking for in this piece.

Great jacket. I’m glad I added it to my system.
