Passbreaker Pant

I love everything about this pant. Now here's the problem. The upper hip pockets (where you would normally put your hands) are too far forward, so that anything in them rests on top of your thigh, or slides over and into your groin area. Makes it super annoying while climbing an incline, to have your phone or keys grinding into your leg instead of being comfortably off to the side. Funny enough, I do prefer cargo pockets on the front vs the side. But the placement of the upper pockets should be more traditional.

So I'm an old guy and have been hunting, packing, hiking for decades in the mountains of SW Montana and I can honestly say that these are the most versatile, comfortable, and well designed trousers of all the brands I've used (Kuiu and Sitka along with several others). The material allows me to kneel down on wet ground without soaking the trousers. They are flexible and comfortable when I move and climb. The number and placement of the belt loops are great for making the waistband feel comfortable. I like being able to insert knee pads on the outside without having some obnoxious looking pocket for the pads. Above all I love the placement and size of the pockets. The sizing chart seemed a little off because it looked like I would need one size smaller than I bought from the other brands but the chart was right and the fit is perfect for length, waist, and hips.

The pants are built very well but they didn’t have a great fit. I’m 5’11” 180 pounds. I typically wear a 32” or 33” waist. I originally ordered the 34” and they were way too big. I exchanged them for an 32”and they are very tight in the waist but baggy in the legs.
