The Kifaru Doobie is designed to replace the USGI poncho liner and are MUCH warmer. They are also great as a sleeping bag liner or ground cloth. Our Apex insulation is continuous filament – so strong that no quilting is needed. Plus, it has a better “feel” and draping capabilities – no quilting, so there are no cold spots. Coupled with our water resistant RhinoSkin Shell, you get immediate warmth and protection. Best yet, the Doobie is very compressible due to the state of the art materials used. Same great stuff we use in our sleeping bags.

I use this throughout the year. Works great as a summer sleep system and take it with me on cold weather hunts for some extra warmth while sitting. The dog loves it too.

The Doobie is simply the best comforter/ blanket/ quilt I've ever owned. I've had mine for 10-15 years (I honestly couldn't tell you...I've owned it since the Doobie was invented, so maybe closer to 20). It's plenty warm for chilly nights, without being stifling on slightly warmer ones. It packs small and light, and is stunningly durable. The draping is second to none, so you have no cold gaps like with so many other quilts, including the ones from competing companies (which I also own). The Doobie is my most-used blanket, and still going strong.
