Originally invented for rambling in bear country, this is the safest, most comfortable way ever devised to carry your rifle and a backpack. Quicker than a shoulder sling, it’s fast enough for wing shooting. While many rifle slings function well for MOUT and CQB work, ours excel in rough terrain such as mountains and desert, where you need your hands free for bushwhacking or handling other equipment while still having quick access to your rifle for instant firing. The weight of the firearm rests on your waistbelt to keep your upper body from fatiguing.

– Forearm (Upper) strap: used to secure your rifle with optics (install on the lower metal 3-bar slider only). Offer for Right or Left-Handed individuals.
– Cradle Mount – Used to attach cradle to the PALS webbing of the waistbelt.

Universal GunBearers®
Fit any Non-Kifaru pack you may own (including MOLLE and non-MOLLE waistbelts).
– Universal Gunbearer Combo: Includes one universal shoulder strap wrap (upper), one hypalon cradle, one long waistbelt wrap, and one short waistbelt wrap
– The universal shoulder strap (upper) wraps around the shoulder strap to secure your rifle with optics. Universal for Right- or Left-Handed Individuals. For non-Kifaru packs, the universal is necessary because most Non-Kifaru systems do not contain the correct upper connection.

Really happy with the Kifaru Gun Bearer. It’s comfortable to wear, and having quick access to my rifle is a huge advantage. The setup lets the rifle naturally fall into place for aiming and shooting, which feels intuitive and offers peace of mind if I need to take a quick shot—especially if something big and scary is coming my way. I got the universal mount to fit my Mystery Ranch pack, and it attaches well. My only gripe was with the inner loop that wraps around the belt, as it’s the exposed hook side of the velcro, which will cause bad chafing on the hip belt. I solved this by cutting a piece of the second, larger strap to cover the exposed velcro, and now it’s perfect. Hope I don't need the 2nd strap in the future though...
Overall, this is a fantastic solution for comfortably carrying a rifle.

Received my universal gun bearer today and installed it easily on my Badlands 2200 pack. I hunt with both traditional muzzle loaders and high powered rifles. I tried each of my rifles in the gunbearer, and all fit securely and comfortably. I can’t wait to take it out on the rifle deer hunt this season in Utah.

My buddy originally let me use his gun bearer in 2016. And I can honestly say I have had one on my pack ever since. I love that I can hike and glass without worrying about my rifle sliding off my shoulder. It’s also so easy to have quick access to your rifle.

I have been using the Gun Bearer for years now and it is the only sling system I use after trying the others. I have had to use it in two sudden bear encounters here in the Yukon and it allows me to get my rifle out and in action in seconds. Amazing piece that I have on all my packs .
