The latest addition to Kifaru’s Expedition pack line, the Absaroka both improves and combines features of the Dall and the Kutthroat into a streamlined external frame pack while staying true to the legendary durability and comfort of all Kifaru products.
For 5+ day expeditions or hunts, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better pack than the Absaroka for its weight, durability and organization capabilities.
Innovative new materials make the Absaroka weatherproof and extremely puncture-resistant. Integrated compartments allow for organization without additional accessories like belt pouches.

FRAME SIZE RECOMMENDATIONS
22" FRAME
Recommended for people under 5'8". Ideal for military personnel, fitness rucking, compact loads, and whitetail hunters.
25" FRAME
Recommended for most people 5'8" and taller. Provides the most load-lifting capability, making it ideal for carrying heavy packs on extended backcountry hunts. The added height helps distribute weight efficiently, making it a top choice for western big game hunters hauling meat and gear over rugged terrain.

This was a new pack for me, and it worked great on my CO Mt Goat hunt. I was able to get all of my hunting gear and my Lifesize cape out in one trip. This pack was very comfortable with all of the weight I had in it.

I run 2 packs from Kifaru on the Ark Frame. The 44 Mag for shorter trips (5 days down to day hunts) and the Absaroka for 5 plus day trips. The capacity of this bag seems more than it states. I can easily do 10 days in this pack. The material is as waterproof as I have seen. The layout is great, it shrinks well for hunting out of camp as well once packed in. The only mods I have done is changed the buckles on the lid to male / female slotted buckles since I like to connect my lid back to frame when I have an animal in the load shelf. On that note, accessing the load shelf is easy as can be and changing the pack off the frame is also very easy. Can’t say enough good things about this pack and I can’t stress enough how much room it has. Highly recommend!

It might of been an overkill but being my first time hunting in South Africa, I didn't know what to expect but decided to bring my Kifaru Absaroka ruck. It went with me everywhere and was nice to have. It carried all my gear (including extra cloths, kill kit, game bags, etc.) and was great to have due to the change in temperature (from morning to afternoon), extra food & water, as we were out all day.

Been my favorite pack from Kifaru to date. Took it on a 12 day backpack hunting trip to CO this September and it performed flawlessly across wild weather and heavy packouts. The bag can really compress down to a daypack if running out of a base camp or expand out for 12 days worth of gear. No issues with water and we got wet plenty.
