With thousands of miles and hundreds of animals on our frames, we have rolled 30+ years of experience in the backcountry into our new ARK Frame. The ARK Frame is made with the best possible materials for the application. We use Carbon Fiber, high density nitrogen enriched foams, and laser cut reinforced MOLLE to solve a lot of the problems our past offerings experienced. Made in two sizes, the 25” and 22” will accommodate all torsos and expeditions. The ARK Frame is compatible with most of our legacy Duplex packs and the all-new Loop Lock strap attachment system will make strapping quarters and other awkwardly shaped items much easier.

I used this on a recent Caribou hunt in AK. This is my 3rd frame from Kifaru. I’ve used the duplex and light duplex, both can haul 100+ lbs. I only put about 90 lbs on this one but could tell it can handle more. My max on the duplex was about 120 and this one could do that easily.
I may have incorrectly used the attachment points for the bag as they kept popping out. Once I looped them back through itself they did not come out. If you push the plastic piece through by itself it will come undone. ( I didn’t watch video on how to attach). The new shoulder strap and lumbar padding is great. I do miss the old lower back padding just above the lumbar pad. When hiking with a lot of weight I will typically bend forward and rest the pack on my back for a min. When doing this the frame digs in a little. Not a big deal but if they had the option to add it to this frame I’d be ordering.

This took several tries to get this adjusted correctly, but I finally did! I actually added some straps from the frame and across my torso in order to get the pack to more evenly distribute the weight across my back by pulling it tighter against my shoulders.
The 22” frame is for fairly short people, so if you are short but not tiny, you could need to adjust the frame to a more open position. That worked for me!

I loaded 2 elk hind quarters and front quarter on my hellbender. One thing is for certain, the reason you can’t haul it won’t be pack or pack design! Even with well over 150Ibs on the pack it wasn’t the pack causing discomfort
